Scavanger Hunt

The scavenger hunt was a great project. It was a creative way to incorporate practical applications of a subject. With art it can have a double meaning because photography is also an artistic medium. Taking the images was easy to do, although some of the items were a harder to find, but that made it interesting. One problem that came up was the issue of computer compatibility with the cameras. We were able to learn how to get around this issue through some other programs. If I did this again in a classroom I would make sure the students cameras are all compatible before the project or have some cameras checked out that were compatible. I could use a project like this in many different ways in an art classroom. I could either have the students take pictures of different elements in art, like we did, or I could incorporate photography directly by having them attempt to tribute famous photos. Since photography is sometimes over looked in K-12 classes this would be a fun project to incorporate into the classroom.
